What We Offer

Students at the Academy of Richmond County can pursue IB in the eleventh and twelfth grade through either the Diploma or Career Related Programme. Both are rigorous, both are recognized by universities worldwide, and both are open to students who prepare for them starting in the ninth grade.

The Diploma Programme (DP):

A full two-year academic course of study. DP students take six subjects across the arts and sciences, complete a 4,000-word independent research essay, study Theory of Knowledge, and carry out a programme of creativity, activity, and service. Students who meet the requirements earn the IB Diploma alongside their Georgia high school diploma.

The Career-related Programme (CP):

The DP's academic rigor, aimed at a career field. CP students take at least two DP subjects, pair them with a career-related study in their field of interest, and complete a core of Personal and Professional Skills, Language Development, Community Engagement, and a Reflective Project. The CP is built for students who know the direction they want to go and want a demanding, focused path to get there.
