FAQ's

 

What is required to play basketball for ARC?

To play for ARC, you must turn in a current physical, be selected by coaches from try-outs and be eligible according to the GHSA (coaches will handle this).

 

Do I have to participate in pre-season conditioning to make the team?

No. It is not required to participate in pre-season conditioning, but it will certainly help your chances of making the team as you'll be in better shape, more familiar with the coaches, and better acclimated to what we expect.

 

I've never played basketball before. Can I still play for the team?

Experience would be great, but it's not required. However, what we do require from all our athletes is to have a coachable attitude, be a positive person & commit to working hard. Plenty of our athletes have started with zero experience but, with time and effort, have shown a lot of improvement and have made important plays throughout the years.

 

Do I have to buy team shoes?

Each year we will order a team packet to wear for away games (hoodys or warmups) but you are free to select the shoes that work best for you.
