PDP Freshman Challenge

ARC’s PDP Freshman Challenge divides the freshmen into four competitive brigades.  Each brigade is led by an ARC Faculty member and is supported by other PDP 9 teachers.  Students are randomly assigned to brigades.  Each brigade member can help his team earn points that will hopefully enable that group to claim the ARC Spirit Sword.

Points are earned/deducted in the following areas:

Points Earned

  • Participation in clubs, fine arts, and athletics
  • Percentage participation for school spirit (attending games, etc.)
  • Total number of group hours for CAS

Points Deducted

  • Tardies
  • Honor Code issues
  • Probation issues
  • Discipline referrals

It is hoped that the brigades will create a network of friendships across boundaries and create a competitive spirit that will positively impact a student’s academic performance and school spirit.   z
